Laser zaps prostate cancer in new Comfort-Focused trial

NCT ID NCT02759744

Summary

This study is testing a new way to treat prostate cancer by using a laser to destroy tumors. The laser is guided by ultrasound imaging, which researchers hope will be more comfortable for patients than the standard MRI-guided method. The goal is to see if this approach is practical and safe for treating specific cancer spots in the prostate.
