Sound waves target tumors without surgery

NCT ID NCT07207343

Summary

This study is testing a non-invasive ultrasound treatment called HIFU to relieve symptoms like pain in patients with abdominal tumors that cannot be surgically removed. The treatment uses focused sound waves to heat and destroy tumor tissue without needing needles or cuts. Researchers will check if the treatment safely reduces pain and improves quality of life for 38 participants over six months.
