First seen Apr 01, 2026 · Last updated May 04, 2026 · Updated 7 times
Summary
This study looks at whether using a bedside ultrasound to guide suctioning of the airway can lower the risk of pneumonia and injury in patients on breathing machines. About 321 adults in the ICU who need a breathing tube for at least 3 days will take part. The goal is to see if this imaging technique makes the suctioning procedure more accurate and safer.
