Heart scan vs. standard protocol: a new battle in sepsis care for liver patients
NCT ID NCT07286643
Summary
This study is comparing two ways to give fluids and medications to liver patients with severe, life-threatening infections (sepsis). One method uses a bedside heart ultrasound to carefully guide treatment, while the other follows a standard protocol. The goal is to see if the ultrasound method helps patients recover better by preventing fluid overload and improving survival.
