Surgeons use ultrasound to target cancer, aim to cut recurrence in half

Summary
This study is testing if using an ultrasound machine during surgery helps surgeons remove oral cancer more completely. About 200 patients will be randomly assigned to have standard surgery or surgery guided by real-time ultrasound images. The goal is to see if the ultrasound helps surgeons get cleaner margins around the tumor, which could mean fewer cancer returns, fewer follow-up treatments like radiation, and a better quality of life for patients.
