New ultrasound tool aims for One-Shot brain drain placement

NCT ID NCT06253858

Summary

This study is testing a new ultrasound-guided system to improve the placement of a temporary drain in the brain for patients with hydrocephalus (fluid buildup). The goal is to see if this tool helps doctors place the drain correctly on the first try, reducing the need for multiple attempts and lowering the risk of complications. The study will involve 10 adult patients in a neuro-intensive care unit who need this procedure.
