Brain ultrasound trial offers new hope for addiction treatment

Summary
This study is testing whether low-intensity focused ultrasound can help people with opioid or other substance addictions. Researchers are checking if this brain stimulation technique is safe and tolerable for 29 participants who are already in treatment programs. The ultrasound targets specific brain areas involved in addiction while participants continue their standard addiction medications.
