Summary
This study tests whether combining two screening questionnaires with a musculoskeletal ultrasound can detect spondyloarthritis—a type of inflammatory arthritis—in people who already have inflammatory bowel disease (IBD) but have not been diagnosed with arthritis. Two hundred adults with confirmed IBD will fill out the DETAIL and IBIS-Q questionnaires and then receive an ultrasound of their joints. The goal is to see how many have undiagnosed spondyloarthritis that could be caught earlier with this approach.
