Sound waves target brain to ease worst cancer pain

NCT ID NCT07405645

Summary

This study is testing a new, non-surgical procedure to relieve severe pain in people with head, neck, or shoulder cancer. The procedure uses focused sound waves, guided by an MRI, to target a tiny area in the brain involved in pain signaling. Researchers want to see if this is safe and can help patients whose pain is not controlled by strong pain medications.
