Sound waves supercharge cancer drugs in groundbreaking trial
NCT ID NCT04821284
Summary
This study is testing a new method called sonoporation to see if it makes standard chemotherapy more effective for pancreatic cancer. Sonoporation uses ultrasound waves and tiny bubbles to help more of the chemotherapy drug get into the tumor. Researchers are comparing patients who receive chemotherapy with sonoporation to those who receive chemotherapy alone to see if it helps control the cancer for longer.
