Sound waves to the brain: new hope for Tough-to-Treat depression

Summary
This study is testing a new, non-invasive brain stimulation method using focused ultrasound for people with treatment-resistant depression. Researchers will use MRI scans to personalize the treatment target and monitor brain activity during stimulation. The trial aims to see if this approach safely engages specific brain areas and affects mood in 30 adults who haven't responded well to standard antidepressant medications or therapy.
