One-Hour sperm wait may boost IVF success, new study claims
NCT ID NCT07062237
First seen Apr 30, 2026 · Last updated May 15, 2026 · Updated 3 times
Summary
This study looks at whether collecting sperm after just one hour of abstinence (instead of the usual 2-5 days) results in embryos with normal chromosomes during IVF. About 187 couples with infertility will each provide sperm after both short and standard abstinence, and the embryos will be compared. The goal is to see if a shorter wait improves embryo health and pregnancy chances.
