Revolutionary Low-Radiation scan could transform bone disease detection

NCT ID NCT07284563

Summary

This study is testing a new type of PET scan that uses much less radiation than current methods to detect bone problems. Researchers want to see if they can reduce radiation exposure by 10 to 100 times while still getting clear images of bone conditions like cancer, arthritis, and infections. About 200 participants, including both healthy volunteers and people with bone conditions, will receive a small amount of radioactive tracer and undergo scanning for up to 3 hours.
