First seen Feb 23, 2026 · Last updated May 14, 2026 · Updated 8 times

Summary

This study tested whether quickly removing a small amount of fluid during dialysis can help predict if a patient needs more fluids. Twenty critically ill adults with acute kidney injury on continuous dialysis took part. Researchers compared two speeds of fluid removal to a standard leg-raising test. The goal was to improve how doctors manage fluid balance in the ICU.
