New wrist route tested for safer heart scans

NCT ID NCT07380399

Summary

This study looks at the safety of using the ulnar artery in the wrist for heart procedures when the usual radial artery is blocked from past surgeries. Researchers will follow 127 adults to see if this alternative access point causes serious complications or changes in hand strength and function. The goal is to gather evidence to help doctors choose the safest access site and better inform patients.
