New scan could spot hidden scarring in bowel disease
NCT ID NCT06516237
Summary
This study aims to find better ways to detect bowel scarring (fibrosis) in people with ulcerative colitis. Researchers will test if special ultrasound scans can accurately measure this scarring by comparing scan results to actual tissue samples taken during routine colonoscopies. The goal is to develop non-invasive tools to monitor the disease, not to provide direct treatment.
