New Two-Pronged attack on debilitating bowel disease

Summary

This study is testing whether starting treatment with two drugs together (vedolizumab and tofacitinib) is effective for adults with moderate to severe ulcerative colitis who haven't gotten enough relief from previous biologic treatments. About 65 participants will receive both drugs for 8 weeks. Those who respond well will then continue with just one of the drugs (vedolizumab) for another 44 weeks to see if the benefits last.
