Could a common bleeding drug speed up recovery from breast surgery?

NCT ID NCT07131592

Summary

This study is testing whether a medication called tranexamic acid (TXA) can help patients heal faster after breast reduction surgery. Researchers want to see if TXA reduces the amount of fluid that drains from the surgical site, which could allow doctors to remove drains sooner and help patients recover more comfortably. The study will compare results in patients who receive TXA during surgery to those who do not, and will also test applying TXA directly through the drains.
