First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 24, 2026 · Updated 34 times

Summary

This study looks at whether tranexamic acid (TXA), a drug that reduces bleeding, can decrease fluid buildup and shorten the time surgical drains are needed after breast reduction surgery. About 160 adults having elective bilateral breast reduction will be randomly assigned to receive TXA or not during surgery. The goal is to improve recovery and reduce complications.
