Common drug could make plastic surgery safer by cutting blood loss

NCT ID NCT06086444

Summary

This study tested whether a drug called tranexamic acid (TXA) can safely reduce bleeding during tummy tuck surgery. Researchers compared blood loss in 60 patients who either received TXA or a placebo before their procedure. The goal was to see if this common medication could make this type of plastic surgery safer by helping patients lose less blood.
