New clip could speed up stomach tumor surgery
NCT ID NCT07581977
First seen May 12, 2026 · Last updated May 12, 2026
Summary
This study tests a new two-tooth clip that helps doctors remove gastrointestinal stromal tumors (GIST) from the stomach. The clip holds the tumor firmly and allows better traction during surgery, which may make the procedure faster and safer. About 60 adults with small to medium-sized GIST tumors will take part to see if this tool improves outcomes compared to standard methods.
