Summary
This study tested a two-step, lower-intensity stem cell transplant for patients with high-risk blood cancers like leukemia and lymphoma. The goal was to use milder chemotherapy and radiation before the transplant to reduce side effects while still allowing the donor's immune cells to attack the cancer. Researchers enrolled 62 patients to see if this approach could improve survival and reduce complications compared to older methods.
