Double the probes, double the protection? new study aims to boost cervical cancer prevention for women with HIV

NCT ID NCT07468695

Summary

This study is testing if using two heat probes instead of one is a better way to treat precancerous cervical cells in women living with HIV, who are at much higher risk for cervical cancer. Researchers in Kenya will compare the two approaches in 300 women to see which one is more effective at clearing the HPV virus that causes these changes. The goal is to find a more reliable prevention method for high-risk settings.
