Zap your nerves to calm your mind? new OCD treatment trial
NCT ID NCT05580614
Summary
This study is testing if a gentle, non-invasive nerve stimulation device (tVNS) can make standard OCD therapy more effective. Researchers will pair the stimulation with Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP) therapy in 56 adults with moderate to severe OCD. The goal is to see if this combination reduces symptoms better than therapy alone and is well-tolerated by patients.
