Curry spice tested to ease cancer Drug's painful side effect

Summary

This small pilot study is testing whether curcumin, the active ingredient in turmeric, can reduce joint pain in breast cancer survivors. The pain is a common side effect of essential hormone-blocking medications. Forty-two participants will take either the curcumin supplement or a placebo for three months to see if it helps.
