New tool to measure Cancer's financial toll tested in turkey
NCT ID NCT07088978
First seen Jun 27, 2026 · Last updated Jun 27, 2026
Summary
This study aims to adapt a questionnaire called PROFFIT, originally developed in Italy, to measure financial toxicity (the financial burden of cancer treatment) in Turkish patients. Researchers will enroll 320 adults with cancer who have received treatment in the last three months. The goal is to check if the Turkish version is accurate and reliable, not to test a new treatment.
What this could mean
Our plain-language read of the trial. This is informational only — not medical advice or a prediction.
What this could lead to
If successful, this could provide a reliable way to measure and address financial stress caused by cancer treatment in Turkish patients.
What could go wrong
This is an early-stage validation study, not a treatment trial. It may not lead to direct changes in care or financial support.
