Promising drug combo targets tough breast cancer in new trial

Summary

This study tests two drugs, trastuzumab deruxtecan and durvalumab, given before surgery to people with stage III inflammatory breast cancer that has a protein called HER2. The goal is to see if the combination can eliminate all signs of cancer in the breast and lymph nodes at the time of surgery. The trial enrolls 63 participants and is currently recruiting.
