First seen Jun 16, 2026 · Last updated Jun 16, 2026
Summary
This study tested whether a special oil called triheptanoin can slow brain damage and improve symptoms in people with early Huntington's disease. About 100 adults took either the oil or a placebo for 6 months, then everyone received the oil for another 6 months. Researchers measured brain shrinkage, energy levels, movement, thinking, and quality of life to see if the oil helps.
