First seen Mar 17, 2026 · Last updated May 24, 2026 · Updated 14 times

Summary

This study looks at whether repairing a severe leaky heart valve (tricuspid valve) can improve kidney function, reduce swelling, and help older adults move better and feel better. About 100 people who are already scheduled for a valve repair procedure will be followed for a year. The goal is to see if the heart fix leads to real improvements in daily activities and overall health.
