New device aims to fix leaky heart valves without open surgery

NCT ID NCT03382457

Summary

This study is testing a device called the Cardioband FIT System to repair leaky tricuspid heart valves. Doctors will use a catheter (a thin tube) to place the device in the heart without major open-heart surgery. The goal is to see if this approach is safe and can help reduce the backflow of blood caused by the leaky valve.
