Summary
This study tests a communication tool called TrialTalk™ in cancer clinics. The goal is to see if it helps doctors and patients talk more clearly about treatment options. About 30 patients and their doctors will fill out questionnaires before and after a regular visit. The study focuses on Black, African American, and non-Hispanic White patients who may be eligible for clinical trials.
What this could mean
Our plain-language read of the trial. This is informational only — not medical advice or a prediction.
- Active substance
- TrialTalk™ communication tool
- What this could lead to
- If it works, this could point toward a simple way to improve how cancer doctors and patients talk about treatment options.
- What could go wrong
- This is a very small, early study with only 30 people. It measures communication quality, not health outcomes, so it may not change actual cancer care.
