Summary
This study tests whether megestrol acetate, a drug that boosts appetite, can help prevent weight loss in people with locally advanced colorectal cancer who are receiving chemotherapy before surgery. About 60 adults will take either megestrol or a placebo during their chemo. The goal is to see if it improves appetite, nutrition, and chemo tolerance.
