Gut bacteria may unlock prostate cancer drug resistance

Summary
This study tests whether adding dexamethasone or metronidazole (a gut bacteria-targeting antibiotic) can make abiraterone work again in men with metastatic prostate cancer whose disease has stopped responding to the drug. About 58 men will receive one of these combinations for up to 24 weeks. The main goal is to see if PSA levels drop by at least 30%.
