Gut bacteria may unlock prostate cancer drug resistance

Summary

This study tests whether adding dexamethasone or metronidazole can make abiraterone work again for men with advanced prostate cancer that has stopped responding to treatment. About 58 men will receive one of these add-on drugs alongside their current therapy. The goal is to lower PSA levels and delay cancer progression.
