First seen Apr 29, 2026 · Last updated May 15, 2026 · Updated 5 times
Summary
This small pilot study tested whether placing critically ill patients with low blood pressure in a head-down position (Trendelenburg) could improve organ function by reducing the need for fluids and blood-pressure-raising drugs. The study planned to include 10 sedated, ventilated ICU patients, but was terminated early. The main goal was to see how quickly blood pressure stabilized without extra treatments.
