First seen May 07, 2026 · Last updated May 08, 2026 · Updated 1 time
Summary
This study looks at whether a special ingredient called trehalose, found in some artificial tears, can improve the eye's natural barrier in people with moderate-to-severe dry eye. About 30 adults will use the eye drops for one month. Researchers will measure how well the cornea keeps out a harmless dye, which shows how healthy the eye surface is.
