First seen Jan 09, 2026 · Last updated Apr 28, 2026 · Updated 14 times
Summary
This study tests whether low-dose methotrexate, a safe and inexpensive drug used for decades in arthritis, can help people with certain blood cancers called myeloproliferative neoplasms (MPNs). The trial will include 54 adults with polycythemia vera, essential thrombocythemia, or myelofibrosis. Researchers will check if adding methotrexate to current treatment improves symptoms, spleen size, and blood counts, aiming to offer a more affordable option.
