New hope for controlling binge eating after Weight-Loss surgery

NCT ID NCT04599478

Summary

This study is testing whether a behavioral weight loss program and a combination medication (naltrexone/bupropion) can help people who struggle with loss-of-control eating after bariatric surgery. It involves 160 adults who are about six months past their surgery and still experience regular binge-eating episodes. Participants are randomly assigned to receive either the therapy, the medication, both, or a placebo for 16 weeks to see which approach best controls eating and supports weight management.
