Does special trauma training save lives? major trial seeks answers
NCT ID NCT06321419
Summary
This study aims to find out if a special training program for doctors (called Advanced Trauma Life Support® or ATLS®) leads to better survival rates for injured patients compared to the standard emergency care doctors already provide. It will involve over 4,300 adult patients arriving at emergency departments in Indian hospitals with serious injuries. The research will compare patient outcomes between hospitals where doctors receive the ATLS® training and those where they do not.
