First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 15, 2026 · Updated 23 times
Summary
This study tests whether training obstetric doctors in trauma-informed care can improve mental health and mother-baby bonding for pregnant women who experienced childhood abuse. About 60 first-time mothers in Buenos Aires will receive either standard care or care from specially trained clinicians. Researchers will measure depression, stress, and attachment during pregnancy and after birth.
