Can a phone app and a peer coach help young adults with trauma drink less?
NCT ID NCT05414344
Summary
This study is testing a new mobile phone program designed to help young adults (ages 18-25) who have experienced trauma and drink heavily. The program teaches coping skills for trauma-related stress and connects participants with a peer coach for support via text message. Researchers are comparing this new approach to a standard brief advice program and a no-program group to see which is more effective at reducing alcohol use over 6 months.
