Does the 'Golden Hour' really save lives? study investigates trauma care timing

NCT ID NCT05401487

Summary

This study looked at whether following specific time recommendations for treating severe trauma patients affects their chances of survival. Researchers analyzed data from 265 adult patients in France's PACA region to see if getting patients to a trauma center within 60 minutes and performing scans within set times correlated with survival at 24 hours and 28 days. The goal was to understand if sticking to these established care timelines leads to better outcomes.
