New emergency treatment tested to stop fatal bleeding

Summary
This trial is testing if giving calcium in the ambulance and a hormone called vasopressin early in the hospital can help people with life-threatening bleeding from injuries. It aims to see if these treatments improve survival and reduce the need for blood transfusions. The study will include about 1,050 adults with severe injuries and low blood pressure.
