First seen Feb 02, 2026 · Last updated May 23, 2026 · Updated 10 times
Summary
This study looks at whether it is safe and effective to transplant kidneys from donors with hepatitis C (HCV) into patients who do not have HCV and are waiting for a kidney. About 31 adults on the kidney transplant list will receive an HCV-positive kidney and be followed for one year to check how well the kidney and the patient are doing. The goal is to expand the donor pool and reduce waiting times for kidney transplants.
