First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated Jun 16, 2026 · Updated 27 times
Summary
This study tested whether trained transplant recipients, called navigators, could help kidney failure patients complete the steps needed to get a kidney transplant. About 167 adults on dialysis took part, with some getting navigator help and others receiving usual care. The goal was to see if navigators could reduce barriers and improve access to transplantation.
