First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated Apr 29, 2026 · Updated 21 times

Summary

This study tested whether trained transplant recipients (called navigators) could help kidney failure patients complete the many steps needed to get a kidney transplant. About 167 adults on dialysis took part, with some getting a navigator and others receiving usual care. The goal was to see if the navigator helped patients move through the transplant process more successfully.
