Butter vs. margarine: the trans fat showdown for your heart

NCT ID NCT00439582

Summary

This study aimed to understand if trans fats from natural sources like milk are different for heart health than trans fats from processed vegetable oils. Researchers had 46 healthy adults eat foods made with specially prepared fats from either milk or processed oils for several weeks. They measured cholesterol and other blood markers to see if one type of fat was better or worse for heart disease risk factors.
