First seen Feb 05, 2026 · Last updated Apr 30, 2026 · Updated 10 times

Summary

This study tests whether giving tranexamic acid (TXA) after the baby is delivered can reduce blood loss during repeat cesarean sections in women at low risk for bleeding. About 204 women will be randomly assigned to receive TXA or a placebo. The goal is to see if TXA meaningfully lowers blood loss without harming the newborn.
