Could a common drug calm the Brain's storm after injury?
NCT ID NCT05323149
Summary
This study is testing if giving the drug tranexamic acid (TXA) very early after a traumatic brain injury can help control the body's harmful inflammatory response. Researchers will compare TXA to a placebo in 60 adults with mild-to-moderate head injuries to see if it reduces inflammation markers and leads to better short-term recovery. The goal is to see if this approach can help control the damage and improve patient outcomes.
