New pill aims to stop Weight-Loss drug side effects

NCT ID NCT06804603

Summary

This study tested if a drug called tradipitant could reduce the common side effects of nausea and vomiting caused by GLP-1 agonist medications, which are used for weight loss. It involved 124 healthy, overweight volunteers who took either tradipitant or a placebo (a dummy pill) alongside the weight-loss medication. The main goal was to see if tradipitant helped people experience fewer vomiting episodes and less severe nausea.
