Summary
This study uses whole genome sequencing to track how ESBL-producing bacteria (a type of drug-resistant germ) spread among hospital patients and staff. Researchers will analyze samples from 2,000 people to find out where infections come from and how they move. The goal is to better understand transmission patterns and improve infection control practices.
