Pig vs. cow collagen: which heals your jaw better?
NCT ID NCT05802602
Summary
This study compared two different collagen materials—one from pigs and one from cows—used to cover a bone graft after a tooth is pulled. The goal was to see which one helps the gum tissue and new bone heal better in preparation for a future dental implant. Researchers measured tissue thickness, bone density, and signs of inflammation in a small group of healthy, non-smoking adults.
